Privacy: the website

What worldradioplayer.com knows about you, which is very little, spelled out anyway. Two Google services are on this site and both are named below: analytics, which runs today, and advertising, which does not serve yet. Plain language, and specific, because a policy full of absolutes is one a reader can catch out.

Last updated 1 September 2026 · Applies to worldradioplayer.com

worldradioplayer.com is published by MomentumLab AI Pty Ltd of Sydney, Australia. This page covers the website only. The Chrome extension has a policy of its own, because it stores things on your machine that a web page never can.

The short version

  • The site has no account, no sign up, no forms and no comments.
  • It uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits, measurement id G-Q2WR197JS9. You can block it and the site works identically.
  • It also loads Google AdSense, because the site has applied to carry ads and is under review. The loader is in the page today; no ad appears on any page yet. Both Google services are described below.
  • Pressing play on a station page connects your browser directly to the station's own stream server, the same as opening the stream address yourself. We never see what you listen to.
  • We do not know who you are and have no way of finding out.

Hosting and server logs

The site is a set of static pages served by Cloudflare Pages. There is no application server, no database of visitors and nothing to sign into. Cloudflare keeps standard server logs for the site, as any web host does: an IP address and a request line. We do not analyse those logs or join them to anything.

Google Analytics 4

Every page on this website loads Google Analytics 4, measurement id G-Q2WR197JS9. It records which page you opened, which page or search sent you to it, how long you stayed, which pages you moved on to, your device type, browser and language, and an approximate location worked out from your IP address, which in practice means a country and sometimes a city. It sets cookies in your browser, named _ga and _ga_ followed by the measurement id, so a second visit can be told from a first one. Those cookies are set on this domain and the data goes to Google.

We do not send it your name, your email, or anything you type, because the site has nowhere to type anything. We read it in aggregate and use it for one thing: deciding which countries and languages deserve more work. We do not sell it and we have no way to connect it to a person, because we never ask you who you are.

You can block it with any standard content blocker, or with Google's own opt-out browser add-on, and the site works identically either way. Google describes how it handles this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

This is a website-only tool. The Chrome extension carries no analytics at all, ours or Google's, and never has.

Advertising

Under review, loader present, no ad units

This site has applied to Google AdSense and intends to carry ads. Being straight about the state of that, because the state is unusual and a reader can check it: the AdSense loader script is already in the head of every page here, since Google will not review a site whose code its crawler cannot find. That script on its own displays nothing. There is no ad unit on any page of this site today, no space reserved for one, and nothing you see here has been paid for.

When the application is approved and ads are switched on, Google and its advertising partners may set cookies or read device identifiers in your browser in order to choose which ads to show you, to limit how often you see the same one, and to measure whether an ad worked. In some regions you will be asked to consent before that happens. What Google does with ad data, and the controls you have over it, are set out in Google's advertising technologies policy, and personalisation can be switched off at My Ad Center.

Two things ads will never touch. Nothing you type reaches an advertiser, because there is nothing on this site to type into. And no advertiser learns what you played: a stream runs from the broadcaster to your browser without passing through us, so the listening itself is not ours to pass on. An ad on a page about radio in Portugal knows it is on a page about radio in Portugal, and that is the whole of it.

The Chrome extension carries no advertising network, and this page does not change that. See the Chrome extension policy.

The station pages, and pressing play

The station data on the country and language pages is a snapshot taken when the site was built. It describes radio stations, and it contains nothing about any visitor.

Some station pages carry a play button. Pressing it points your browser's own audio player straight at the broadcaster's stream address. Your IP address reaches the station or whoever hosts its stream, as it must for audio to arrive, and nothing about the request passes through us. We do not proxy, record or intermediate streams, so we never see what you listen to. Nothing plays until you press the button.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13. It collects nothing from anybody, so it collects nothing from a child either. It does describe and link a public directory of live radio, and we do not control what any station broadcasts.

Changes to this policy

If the website changes in a way that affects this document, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it.
