Radio Polignano Web

Position 4 of 6 in Andorra. The ordering is a click count and nothing more, but at this depth it still separates stations meaningfully, which stops being true further down the same list.

Radio Polignano Web broadcasts in Italian from Andorra, where the directory records only one station doing so. Andorra's listing is otherwise led by Catalan, so this is a genuinely unusual entry on its own national dial rather than one of a set.

Italian radio in this directory sits largely in Italy, Switzerland and France, with 490 stations on the shelf in total. This page's station is one of the entries that make the shelf wider than any single country.

The gap here is large: 128 kbps where Andorra's stations typically run 320. Rates at this level were designed for dial-up and for mobile data that was billed by the megabyte, and plenty of stations simply never changed the setting.

Its audio comes straight from sp3.server89.com:7018, an address unique to this entry in Andorra's listing. That is the simplest case there is, and it is the one where pressing play tells you the whole truth about whether the station is on air.

Their site is sp3.server89.com:7018, on the .com:7018 domain. The newer top level domains carry no location information at all, so nothing about the address confirms or contradicts what the directory records.
