MFM Belarus

MFM Belarus sits in the tail of Belarus' 47 entries. The tail is the part of a directory that goes missing first, and it is the part worth keeping: the head of every country's list is the same handful of national broadcasters, and everything that makes a dial local is behind them.

One recorded open in the public directory. That is a trace rather than a measurement, and it is the reason this page describes where the station sits rather than how popular it is.

No language is recorded against this station. The field is optional in the public directory and a great many entries skip it, so an empty language says nothing about what you will hear when you press play. It does keep the station off the language shelves, since a shelf built on guesses would be worse than a shelf with holes.

At 192 kbps the stream is on the better side of Belarus' dial, where the median is 160 kbps. Not dramatically so, and bitrate is only one of several things that decide whether a stream sounds good, but it is the one the directory records.

Its audio comes straight from radio.105fm.by, an address unique to this entry in Belarus' listing. That is the simplest case there is, and it is the one where pressing play tells you the whole truth about whether the station is on air.
