Kristal FM

Kristal FM is one of only two stations in Brunei with a page on this site, which makes this close to the whole of the country's presence in the public directory rather than a sample of it. Small national listings behave differently from large ones: the entries that exist tend to be the ones somebody maintains, and the gaps are wide rather than shallow.

Every entry the directory holds for Brunei has a small number of recorded opens, which makes the country's ranking noise rather than signal. Nothing is wrong with the data; there simply are not enough listeners passing through the public directory from this country for the count to mean much yet.

The directory records no language for Kristal FM. That gap is common and it is upstream of this site: broadcasters fill the field or they do not, and roughly a third of the stations with pages here have left it empty. It means the station appears on its country hub and not on any language shelf, which is the one place the omission costs it.

Its audio comes from play.thestreamtech.com:7038. One other station in Brunei streams from the same host, which is a smaller sharing than the big platforms and often means the same people run them all.

Their address is kristal.fm. A .fm address says the broadcaster wanted a radio sounding domain, not that the station is in Micronesia, which is where that domain actually comes from.
