CJCD-FM 100.1 "True North FM" Yellowknife, NT

Rank 169 of 259 in Canada. What that mostly measures is how many people have already found the station through this directory, which is a poor proxy for anything else and an honest one to publish.

One recorded open in the public directory. That is a trace rather than a measurement, and it is the reason this page describes where the station sits rather than how popular it is.

CJCD-FM 100.1 "True North FM" Yellowknife, NT leads with classic hits, a tag 4 other stations in Canada use and one the country hub lists among its headline genres. If the country's sound is what brought you here, this is squarely part of it.

The stream is 57 kbps where Canada's median is 96. Below the country's middle, which usually points at an older encoder or a deliberate choice to stay light, and matters far more for music than for talk.

AAC+ here, on a dial that carries three different formats. A mixed codec listing usually means a country whose stations are hosted in several different places rather than through one dominant provider.

Its audio comes from vistaradio.streamb.live. Three other stations in Canada stream from the same host, which is a smaller sharing than the big platforms and often means the same people run them all.
