Nickelback

Nickelback sits in the tail of Canada's 259 entries. The tail is the part of a directory that goes missing first, and it is the part worth keeping: the head of every country's list is the same handful of national broadcasters, and everything that makes a dial local is behind them.

The directory records no opens at all for Nickelback. That is a fact about the directory rather than about the station: a stream nobody has opened through radio-browser can be perfectly healthy and well listened to on its own site or on a radio. It does mean this page is where the station's directory history starts.

Nickelback is the only station in Canada whose first tag is discography, out of 259 with pages here. Tags come from the broadcasters themselves, so this says the station describes itself in a way no other entry in Canada does, which is a narrower and more honest claim than saying it is the country's only discography station.

The station's site is at pcradio.ru, which sits under the .ru country domain rather than Canada's. That mismatch is usually mundane, a host or a parent organisation registered elsewhere, and it is the kind of small inconsistency worth seeing rather than smoothing over.
