Stoke FM

At position 254 of 259, this is one of the stations in Canada that almost nobody arrives at by browsing. That is the case for having a page at all. A station reachable only by knowing its name is a station most directories lose.

No opens have been recorded against Stoke FM in the public directory. Plenty of working stations sit at zero, because the count only rises when somebody plays the stream from a client that reports back, and most listening never touches the directory at all.

Stoke FM shares its leading tag, alternative / indie, with one other Canada entry. Across every country the directory has 12 stations leading with it, so the rail below is mostly a trip abroad.

At 128 kbps the stream is on the better side of Canada's dial, where the median is 96 kbps. Not dramatically so, and bitrate is only one of several things that decide whether a stream sounds good, but it is the one the directory records.

The stream is served from streams.radiomast.io, an address three other entries in Canada use as well. A small shared host is usually a group of stations under one owner or one technical provider rather than a platform.
