RTE - Radio Educativa

RTE - Radio Educativa is deep in Cape Verde's listing, at 11 of 15. Down here the ordering barely orders anything: the difference between one position and the next is often a single recorded open, so treat the neighbours below as a shelf rather than as a ranking.

The open count against RTE - Radio Educativa is one, which is enough to know the stream has been played through the directory and not enough to compare it with anything. Small counts are the normal case out here, and a ranking built from them separates stations by luck as much as by interest.

No language is recorded against this station. The field is optional in the public directory and a great many entries skip it, so an empty language says nothing about what you will hear when you press play. It does keep the station off the language shelves, since a shelf built on guesses would be worse than a shelf with holes.

192 kbps, which puts RTE - Radio Educativa above the 128 kbps that a typical entry in Cape Verde runs at.

Its audio comes straight from a13.my-control-panel.com, an address unique to this entry in Cape Verde's listing. That is the simplest case there is, and it is the one where pressing play tells you the whole truth about whether the station is on air.
