Star Radio

At position 74 of 99, this is one of the stations in Chile that almost nobody arrives at by browsing. That is the case for having a page at all. A station reachable only by knowing its name is a station most directories lose.

This is a English station in a country whose directory presence is led by Spanish. 14 entries in Chile broadcast in English, which is a small group and a coherent one, and browsing it is a different experience from browsing the country.

The English shelf on this site collects every station in the language regardless of where it transmits from, and the directory's English entries are concentrated in United States, United Arab Emirates and United Kingdom. Reading the shelf next to this page is the quickest way to see how far the language's dial actually reaches.

Chil is the station's own leading tag and no other entry in Chile uses it that way. Worth reading as self-description: the directory takes tags as broadcasters type them and does not reconcile them.

The stream is served from stream.zeno.fm, an address four other entries in Chile use as well. A small shared host is usually a group of stations under one owner or one technical provider rather than a platform.
