La99Radio

La99Radio sits in the tail of Ecuador's 75 entries. The tail is the part of a directory that goes missing first, and it is the part worth keeping: the head of every country's list is the same handful of national broadcasters, and everything that makes a dial local is behind them.

With one recorded open, La99Radio sits in the part of the directory where the numbers stop discriminating. The station's position in Ecuador's list should be read as approximate for exactly that reason.

The language field is empty for this entry. It is left empty here too rather than filled from the country, because the shelves on this site are only worth using if what is on them was actually declared.

La99Radio streams at 64 kbps against Ecuador's median of 128, which is less than half the local norm. On a dial where 53% of stations reach 128 kbps, a rate this low stands out, and it usually means either a speech station that never needed more or an encoder that has not been touched in years.

La99Radio streams from cast10.plugstreaming.com. No other station in Ecuador is served from that address, and across the whole directory it appears one time in total.
