Radio Láser Español

Position 15 of 25 puts this station in the middle of El Salvador's directory presence. The middle is worth browsing precisely because the ordering has stopped sorting by fame and has not yet stopped sorting at all.

With two recorded opens, Radio Láser Español sits in the part of the directory where the numbers stop discriminating. The station's position in El Salvador's list should be read as approximate for exactly that reason.

Radio Láser Español streams at 96 kbps, under El Salvador's median of 128 kbps. A lower rate is not automatically worse: speech carries perfectly well below the music threshold, and a station built for phones on a weak connection has a good reason to encode this way.

Where El Salvador's stations mostly use MP3, this one uses AAC. Worth a line only because it is a difference, and because the country page's format breakdown is one of the quicker ways to see which providers a national dial runs on.

The stream is served from sp4.colombiatelecom.com.co, an address three other entries in El Salvador use as well. A small shared host is usually a group of stations under one owner or one technical provider rather than a platform.

The broadcaster publishes at laser.com.sv, on El Salvador's own country domain. A national domain is a small piece of evidence that the station is what the directory says it is, since these are the harder ones to register from somewhere else.
