Sheger FM

This is one of the quieter entries in Ethiopia's listing, at 14 of 20. Stations at this depth are usually community, religious or single genre broadcasters rather than national networks, and the country's numbered pages are the only route to them.

Four recorded opens in the public directory. That is a trace rather than a measurement, and it is the reason this page describes where the station sits rather than how popular it is.

The language field is empty for this entry. It is left empty here too rather than filled from the country, because the shelves on this site are only worth using if what is on them was actually declared.

At 128 kbps this is a typical stream for Ethiopia by the one measure the directory carries.

The audio comes from stream.zeno.fm, and 11 other stations in Ethiopia are served from the same address. That is a streaming platform carrying many broadcasters rather than a station running its own server, which is worth knowing for a practical reason: when a platform has a bad night, a whole block of Ethiopia's listing stops answering at once and nothing is wrong with any of the stations in it.

Sheger FM publishes at shegerfm.com, on a generic domain. Most stations do; it carries no information about location and it is linked here so you can check the source rather than take this page's word for anything.
