Nostalgie 80

The directory lists four streams in France under this name, told apart by a number alone. This page is number eighty. Nothing here is taken from the other three.

Nostalgie 80 is deep in France's listing, at 630 of 710. Down here the ordering barely orders anything: the difference between one position and the next is often a single recorded open, so treat the neighbours below as a shelf rather than as a ranking.

Nostalgie 80 has a zero in the directory's open count. It is the least interesting number on this page and the one most likely to be misread, so it is worth being plain: it measures traffic through radio-browser, not audience.

Nostalgie is one of France's headline genres in this directory, and Nostalgie 80 is one of 7 stations there leading with it. The country hub prints the same tag near the top of its own list, so this station sits inside the country's main sound rather than off to one side.

The audio comes from streaming.nrjaudio.fm, and 63 other stations in France are served from the same address. That is a streaming platform carrying many broadcasters rather than a station running its own server, which is worth knowing for a practical reason: when a platform has a bad night, a whole block of France's listing stops answering at once and nothing is wrong with any of the stations in it.
