Skyrock 100% FRANÇAIS

Out of 710 entries in France, this one ranks 59. The upper quarter of a national list is an interesting place to be: well known enough to have accumulated opens, not so well known that it is the station everybody already had.

Skyrock 100% FRANÇAIS has 20 recorded opens in the public directory, which is a real number by the standards of this data set. Most entries never reach double figures, so a count at this level means the stream has been found and played repeatedly by people using directory clients rather than the broadcaster's own site.

No language is recorded against this station. The field is optional in the public directory and a great many entries skip it, so an empty language says nothing about what you will hear when you press play. It does keep the station off the language shelves, since a shelf built on guesses would be worse than a shelf with holes.

Where France's stations mostly use MP3, this one uses AAC. Worth a line only because it is a difference, and because the country page's format breakdown is one of the quicker ways to see which providers a national dial runs on.

Its audio comes from icecast.skyrock.net. Four other stations in France stream from the same host, which is a smaller sharing than the big platforms and often means the same people run them all.
