Asenteman Radio

At position 53 of 58, this is one of the stations in Ghana that almost nobody arrives at by browsing. That is the case for having a page at all. A station reachable only by knowing its name is a station most directories lose.

No opens have been recorded against Asenteman Radio in the public directory. Plenty of working stations sit at zero, because the count only rises when somebody plays the stream from a client that reports back, and most listening never touches the directory at all.

The country's dial has two sizeable languages on it and this station is on the smaller one. 54 entries in Ghana broadcast in Akan, against a listing whose commonest language is English.

The Akan shelf on this site collects every station in the language regardless of where it transmits from, and the directory's Akan entries are concentrated in Belgium. Reading the shelf next to this page is the quickest way to see how far the language's dial actually reaches.

Asenteman Radio streams at 96 kbps, under Ghana's median of 128 kbps. A lower rate is not automatically worse: speech carries perfectly well below the music threshold, and a station built for phones on a weak connection has a good reason to encode this way.
