104.5FM צפון

In Israel's ordering this is number 21 of 68, which is the middle of the list. The stations either side of it are a better guide to what the country sounds like than the head of the list is, because the head is the same few famous streams in every country.

With four recorded opens, 104.5FM צפון sits in the part of the directory where the numbers stop discriminating. The station's position in Israel's list should be read as approximate for exactly that reason.

No language is recorded against this station. The field is optional in the public directory and a great many entries skip it, so an empty language says nothing about what you will hear when you press play. It does keep the station off the language shelves, since a shelf built on guesses would be worse than a shelf with holes.

The gap here is large: 64 kbps where Israel's stations typically run 128. Rates at this level were designed for dial-up and for mobile data that was billed by the megabyte, and plenty of stations simply never changed the setting.

The stream is served from radio.streamgates.net, an address one other entry in Israel uses as well. A small shared host is usually a group of stations under one owner or one technical provider rather than a platform.
