In Lithuania's ordering this is number 12 of 38, which is the middle of the list. The stations either side of it are a better guide to what the country sounds like than the head of the list is, because the head is the same few famous streams in every country.

Lithuania carries four Russian stations in the directory against a Lithuanian majority. Радио RDTK is one of them, and the pairing of language and country is the fact that distinguishes it from the rest of the national list.

Where else Russian is on air, according to the same snapshot: mostly Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. The shelf lists all 575 of them together, which is the view a country hub cannot give.

Радио RDTK is the only station in Lithuania whose first tag is society, out of 38 with pages here. Tags come from the broadcasters themselves, so this says the station describes itself in a way no other entry in Lithuania does, which is a narrower and more honest claim than saying it is the country's only society station.

At 64 kbps this is one of the lowest rate streams on Lithuania's dial, whose median is 160 kbps. It will hold a connection almost anywhere, which is the tradeoff being made.
