ESDES Radio

Held against the 10 stations in Madagascar on this site, this one is in the leading three. The order is the directory's count of stream opens rather than anybody's judgement, which is worth saying because a leading position on a list like this reflects habit as much as anything else.

The station's language is French, the commonest of the two the directory records for Madagascar. Language is one of the two axes this site indexes on, and the French shelf collects these stations across every country that carries them.

Among 10 stations in Madagascar here, this is the only one that puts educational first. The educational rail below therefore leaves the country entirely, which is the more interesting direction to travel from a page like this.

The stream runs at 128 kbps, level with Madagascar's median. Bitrate stops being interesting once a station is at the local norm, and the useful question moves on to whether the stream stays up, which no snapshot can answer.

The stream is served from esdesradio.netpro.tv, which no other entry in Madagascar uses in this snapshot. Nothing else in the listing shares its fate: if this address stops answering it is this broadcaster's own outage, and if it plays, it plays.
