La tremenda 98.5 FM Agua Prieta

Position 173 of 444 puts this station in the middle of Mexico's directory presence. The middle is worth browsing precisely because the ordering has stopped sorting by fame and has not yet stopped sorting at all.

With two recorded opens, La tremenda 98.5 FM Agua Prieta sits in the part of the directory where the numbers stop discriminating. The station's position in Mexico's list should be read as approximate for exactly that reason.

Agua prieta is the station's own leading tag and no other entry in Mexico uses it that way. Worth reading as self-description: the directory takes tags as broadcasters type them and does not reconcile them.

La tremenda 98.5 FM Agua Prieta streams at 56 kbps against Mexico's median of 128, which is less than half the local norm. On a dial where 49% of stations reach 128 kbps, a rate this low stands out, and it usually means either a speech station that never needed more or an encoder that has not been touched in years.

Its audio comes from live.zuperdns.net. Three other stations in Mexico stream from the same host, which is a smaller sharing than the big platforms and often means the same people run them all.
