MVS Noticias

One word in the name is ordinary Spanish rather than branding: Noticias is news. Worth a line for anyone reading a list of stations in a language they do not have.

MVS Noticias ranks 73 among 444 stations in Mexico. High enough that the country hub carries it in its own tables, and far enough from the head that the neighbours below are a genuinely different set of stations from the famous ones.

Spanish is the station's language and the country's commonest, one of six Mexico's listing records.

The 102.5 corner of Mexico's dial is two stations deep in this snapshot. Small clusters like that are usually the most rewarding thing on a country page, because they are what the national broadcasters at the top of the list are not.

MVS Noticias streams at 128 kbps, which is exactly where Mexico's dial sits: the country's median is 128 kbps. Being unremarkable on this axis is the normal case and it is fine. 49% of the country's stations reach 128 kbps or better.

The audio comes from playerservices.streamtheworld.com, and 103 other stations in Mexico are served from the same address. That is a streaming platform carrying many broadcasters rather than a station running its own server, which is worth knowing for a practical reason: when a platform has a bad night, a whole block of Mexico's listing stops answering at once and nothing is wrong with any of the stations in it.
