New Century by Match (iHeart Radio)

New Century by Match (iHeart Radio) sits in the tail of Mexico's 444 entries. The tail is the part of a directory that goes missing first, and it is the part worth keeping: the head of every country's list is the same handful of national broadcasters, and everything that makes a dial local is behind them.

The directory records no opens at all for New Century by Match (iHeart Radio). That is a fact about the directory rather than about the station: a stream nobody has opened through radio-browser can be perfectly healthy and well listened to on its own site or on a radio. It does mean this page is where the station's directory history starts.

#hitsonly is the station's own leading tag and no other entry in Mexico uses it that way. Worth reading as self-description: the directory takes tags as broadcasters type them and does not reconcile them.

The gap here is large: 48 kbps where Mexico's stations typically run 128. Rates at this level were designed for dial-up and for mobile data that was billed by the megabyte, and plenty of stations simply never changed the setting.

The stream address on this entry points at playerservices.streamtheworld.com, which is where 103 other stations in Mexico are served from as well. Platforms of that size carry the long tail of a country's dial, and they are the reason a listing can look broken when it is one host having a quiet hour.
