de beste piraten

At position 270 of 302, this is one of the stations in the Netherlands that almost nobody arrives at by browsing. That is the case for having a page at all. A station reachable only by knowing its name is a station most directories lose.

de beste piraten has a zero in the directory's open count. It is the least interesting number on this page and the one most likely to be misread, so it is worth being plain: it measures traffic through radio-browser, not audience.

de beste piraten has no language recorded in the directory. We do not infer one. Guessing from the country would put every station in the Netherlands on the same shelf regardless of what it broadcasts, which is exactly the kind of filled-in blank that makes a directory untrustworthy.

Its audio comes straight from stream.debestepiraten.nl, an address unique to this entry in the Netherlands' listing. That is the simplest case there is, and it is the one where pressing play tells you the whole truth about whether the station is on air.

de beste piraten keeps its own site at debestepiraten.nl. The address sits under the Netherlands' country code, which lines up with where the directory says the station broadcasts from.
