RTV Hollands Midden

At position 256 of 302, this is one of the stations in the Netherlands that almost nobody arrives at by browsing. That is the case for having a page at all. A station reachable only by knowing its name is a station most directories lose.

The open count against RTV Hollands Midden is one, which is enough to know the stream has been played through the directory and not enough to compare it with anything. Small counts are the normal case out here, and a ranking built from them separates stations by luck as much as by interest.

RTV Hollands Midden has no language recorded in the directory. We do not infer one. Guessing from the country would put every station in the Netherlands on the same shelf regardless of what it broadcasts, which is exactly the kind of filled-in blank that makes a directory untrustworthy.

At 128 kbps, this sits below most of the Netherlands' listing, whose median is 192 kbps. 77% of the country's stations reach 128 kbps or better, so the dial around it is mostly higher.

Its audio comes straight from securestream2.digipal.nl:1805, an address unique to this entry in the Netherlands' listing. That is the simplest case there is, and it is the one where pressing play tells you the whole truth about whether the station is on air.
