SinterklaasRadio

At position 206 of 302, this is one of the stations in the Netherlands that almost nobody arrives at by browsing. That is the case for having a page at all. A station reachable only by knowing its name is a station most directories lose.

With two recorded opens, SinterklaasRadio sits in the part of the directory where the numbers stop discriminating. The station's position in the Netherlands' list should be read as approximate for exactly that reason.

Among 302 stations in the Netherlands here, this is the only one that puts children first. The children rail below therefore leaves the country entirely, which is the more interesting direction to travel from a page like this.

The stream is 128 kbps where the Netherlands' median is 192. Below the country's middle, which usually points at an older encoder or a deliberate choice to stay light, and matters far more for music than for talk.

The stream is served from stream06.dotpoint.nl:8004, which no other entry in the Netherlands uses in this snapshot. Nothing else in the listing shares its fate: if this address stops answering it is this broadcaster's own outage, and if it plays, it plays.

The broadcaster publishes at sinterklaasradio.nl, on the Netherlands' own country domain. A national domain is a small piece of evidence that the station is what the directory says it is, since these are the harder ones to register from somewhere else.
