NRK Nyhter (MP3 - HI)

NRK Nyhter (MP3 - HI) is at 19 in a listing of 66. Read the rank as a rough position rather than a standing: the click counts in the middle of a long national list are close enough together that a handful of opens moves a station several places.

No language is recorded against this station. The field is optional in the public directory and a great many entries skip it, so an empty language says nothing about what you will hear when you press play. It does keep the station off the language shelves, since a shelf built on guesses would be worse than a shelf with holes.

The encode is 192 kbps against a country median of 159. Comfortably above the middle of Norway's listing without being one of its outliers.

Its audio comes from lyd.nrk.no. Five other stations in Norway stream from the same host, which is a smaller sharing than the big platforms and often means the same people run them all.

Their site is radio.nrk.no, a domain registered in Norway. Where a station's own address and its listed country agree, the entry is a little more trustworthy than one where they do not.
