Radyo Bandilyo DYWC 801 AM Dumaguete

At position 94 of 116, this is one of the stations in the Philippines that almost nobody arrives at by browsing. That is the case for having a page at all. A station reachable only by knowing its name is a station most directories lose.

With one recorded open, Radyo Bandilyo DYWC 801 AM Dumaguete sits in the part of the directory where the numbers stop discriminating. The station's position in the Philippines' list should be read as approximate for exactly that reason.

The directory records no language for Radyo Bandilyo DYWC 801 AM Dumaguete. That gap is common and it is upstream of this site: broadcasters fill the field or they do not, and roughly a third of the stations with pages here have left it empty. It means the station appears on its country hub and not on any language shelf, which is the one place the omission costs it.

At 128 kbps the stream is on the better side of the Philippines' dial, where the median is 96 kbps. Not dramatically so, and bitrate is only one of several things that decide whether a stream sounds good, but it is the one the directory records.

Its audio comes straight from stream.surfernetwork.com, an address unique to this entry in the Philippines' listing. That is the simplest case there is, and it is the one where pressing play tells you the whole truth about whether the station is on air.
