4DJ 4Drive Jazz

At position 82 of 105, this is one of the stations in Portugal that almost nobody arrives at by browsing. That is the case for having a page at all. A station reachable only by knowing its name is a station most directories lose.

No opens have been recorded against 4DJ 4Drive Jazz in the public directory. Plenty of working stations sit at zero, because the count only rises when somebody plays the stream from a client that reports back, and most listening never touches the directory at all.

No language is recorded against this station. The field is optional in the public directory and a great many entries skip it, so an empty language says nothing about what you will hear when you press play. It does keep the station off the language shelves, since a shelf built on guesses would be worse than a shelf with holes.

At 192 kbps the stream is on the better side of Portugal's dial, where the median is 128 kbps. Not dramatically so, and bitrate is only one of several things that decide whether a stream sounds good, but it is the one the directory records.

Its audio comes straight from radio.streemlion.com:4870, an address unique to this entry in Portugal's listing. That is the simplest case there is, and it is the one where pressing play tells you the whole truth about whether the station is on air.
