Rock Fm Ballads

At position 149 of 216, this is one of the stations in Romania that almost nobody arrives at by browsing. That is the case for having a page at all. A station reachable only by knowing its name is a station most directories lose.

One recorded open in the public directory. That is a trace rather than a measurement, and it is the reason this page describes where the station sits rather than how popular it is.

Among 216 stations in Romania here, this is the only one that puts ballads first. The ballads rail below therefore leaves the country entirely, which is the more interesting direction to travel from a page like this.

The stream is 80 kbps where Romania's median is 128. Below the country's middle, which usually points at an older encoder or a deliberate choice to stay light, and matters far more for music than for talk.

Where Romania's stations mostly use MP3, this one uses AAC. Worth a line only because it is a difference, and because the country page's format breakdown is one of the quicker ways to see which providers a national dial runs on.

The stream is served from live.rockfm.ro, an address three other entries in Romania use as well. A small shared host is usually a group of stations under one owner or one technical provider rather than a platform.
