Советские Песни

Советские Песни is at position 86 of the 471 stations in Russia with pages here, inside the top quarter of the national listing. That is high enough to be reached by browsing rather than by searching, which is how most of these pages are actually found.

The language field is empty for this entry. It is left empty here too rather than filled from the country, because the shelves on this site are only worth using if what is on them was actually declared.

12 stations in Russia lead with ретро and Советские Песни is one of them, though the tag does not make the country's headline list. Across the whole directory 12 stations use it first, so the rail below runs well past Russia.

Советские Песни streams at 128 kbps, which is exactly where Russia's dial sits: the country's median is 128 kbps. Being unremarkable on this axis is the normal case and it is fine. 53% of the country's stations reach 128 kbps or better.

Its audio comes straight from sovetskie-pesni.ru:8005, an address unique to this entry in Russia's listing. That is the simplest case there is, and it is the one where pressing play tells you the whole truth about whether the station is on air.

Советские Песни keeps its own site at sovetskie-pesni.ru. The address sits under Russia's country code, which lines up with where the directory says the station broadcasts from.
