YouRitmix

At position 359 of 471, this is one of the stations in Russia that almost nobody arrives at by browsing. That is the case for having a page at all. A station reachable only by knowing its name is a station most directories lose.

With one recorded open, YouRitmix sits in the part of the directory where the numbers stop discriminating. The station's position in Russia's list should be read as approximate for exactly that reason.

YouRitmix is the only station in Russia whose first tag is afro, out of 471 with pages here. Tags come from the broadcasters themselves, so this says the station describes itself in a way no other entry in Russia does, which is a narrower and more honest claim than saying it is the country's only afro station.

At 320 kbps, YouRitmix streams at more than double Russia's median of 128 kbps. That is a deliberate choice by whoever runs it: bandwidth is the recurring cost of an internet station, and a rate this far above the local norm is money spent on sounding better than the dial around it.

Its audio comes straight from youritmix.ru, an address unique to this entry in Russia's listing. That is the simplest case there is, and it is the one where pressing play tells you the whole truth about whether the station is on air.
