Sveriges Radio P2 flac

The directory lists two streams in Sweden under this name, told apart by a number alone. This page is number two. Nothing here is taken from the other one.

Position 43 of 94 puts this station in the middle of Sweden's directory presence. The middle is worth browsing precisely because the ordering has stopped sorting by fame and has not yet stopped sorting at all.

Sveriges Radio P2 flac shares its leading tag, classical, with one other Sweden entry. Across every country the directory has 242 stations leading with it, so the rail below is mostly a trip abroad.

An OGG stream on a MP3 dial. The public directory records the format as the server reports it, and formats this far off the beaten track usually indicate somebody running their own encoder rather than a hosted service.

The audio comes from live1.sr.se, and 20 other stations in Sweden are served from the same address. That is a streaming platform carrying many broadcasters rather than a station running its own server, which is worth knowing for a practical reason: when a platform has a bad night, a whole block of Sweden's listing stops answering at once and nothing is wrong with any of the stations in it.
