top rap

Rank 80 of 126 in Switzerland. What that mostly measures is how many people have already found the station through this directory, which is a poor proxy for anything else and an honest one to publish.

top rap is the only station in Switzerland whose first tag is rap hiphop rnb, out of 126 with pages here. Tags come from the broadcasters themselves, so this says the station describes itself in a way no other entry in Switzerland does, which is a narrower and more honest claim than saying it is the country's only rap hiphop rnb station.

Twice the local median and then some: 256 kbps where Switzerland's stations typically manage 128. Whether you can hear the difference depends entirely on what you are listening on, but the headroom is there.

The stream address on this entry points at strm112.1.fm, which is where 10 other stations in Switzerland are served from as well. Platforms of that size carry the long tail of a country's dial, and they are the reason a listing can look broken when it is one host having a quiet hour.

Their address is 1.fm. A .fm address says the broadcaster wanted a radio sounding domain, not that the station is in Micronesia, which is where that domain actually comes from.
