Ankara Üniversitesi Radyosu Radyo İlef

At position 262 of 369, this is one of the stations in Türkiye that almost nobody arrives at by browsing. That is the case for having a page at all. A station reachable only by knowing its name is a station most directories lose.

Türkiye carries 17 English stations in the directory against a Turkish majority. Ankara Üniversitesi Radyosu Radyo İlef is one of them, and the pairing of language and country is the fact that distinguishes it from the rest of the national list.

The English shelf on this site collects every station in the language regardless of where it transmits from, and the directory's English entries are concentrated in United States, United Arab Emirates and United Kingdom. Reading the shelf next to this page is the quickest way to see how far the language's dial actually reaches.

Ankara Üniversitesi Radyosu Radyo İlef is the only station in Türkiye whose first tag is 70's, out of 369 with pages here. Tags come from the broadcasters themselves, so this says the station describes itself in a way no other entry in Türkiye does, which is a narrower and more honest claim than saying it is the country's only 70's station.
