Mayday Records Radio

Mayday Records Radio broadcasts in English from Türkiye, one of 17 stations there that do. The country's dial is mostly Turkish, so these 17 entries are a minority language cluster inside a national listing rather than the listing itself.

The English shelf on this site collects every station in the language regardless of where it transmits from, and the directory's English entries are concentrated in United States, United Arab Emirates and United Kingdom. Reading the shelf next to this page is the quickest way to see how far the language's dial actually reaches.

Mayday Records Radio is the only station in Türkiye whose first tag is eclectic, out of 369 with pages here. Tags come from the broadcasters themselves, so this says the station describes itself in a way no other entry in Türkiye does, which is a narrower and more honest claim than saying it is the country's only eclectic station.

Twice the local median and then some: 256 kbps where Türkiye's stations typically manage 128. Whether you can hear the difference depends entirely on what you are listening on, but the headroom is there.

The stream is served from stream.maydayrecords.net, an address one other entry in Türkiye uses as well. A small shared host is usually a group of stations under one owner or one technical provider rather than a platform.
