Люкс FM Львів

Position 20 of 125 in Ukraine. The ordering is a click count and nothing more, but at this depth it still separates stations meaningfully, which stops being true further down the same list.

Люкс FM Львів broadcasts in Ukrainian, which is the language most of Ukraine's stations in the directory use. The country's listing records four languages in total, so the Ukrainian stations are the body of the dial rather than the whole of it.

The format here is AAC, against a listing for Ukraine overwhelmingly made of MP3. Both play in a browser; the difference shows up in how much quality survives at a given bitrate, where AAC has the advantage at lower rates.

This one is HLS, a segmented format rather than a single continuous stream. It is worth knowing because the failure is specific and fixable rather than a dead station: the address works, the browser just cannot open that shape of address unaided.

The stream is served from streamvideo.luxnet.ua, an address one other entry in Ukraine uses as well. A small shared host is usually a group of stations under one owner or one technical provider rather than a platform.

Люкс FM Львів publishes at lviv.lux.fm. Worth a note because .fm is a country domain that stopped meaning its country a long time ago: it is Micronesia's, and it is used by radio stations everywhere for the obvious reason.
