Буковинська Хвиля

At position 80 of 125, this is one of the stations in Ukraine that almost nobody arrives at by browsing. That is the case for having a page at all. A station reachable only by knowing its name is a station most directories lose.

Two recorded opens in the public directory. That is a trace rather than a measurement, and it is the reason this page describes where the station sits rather than how popular it is.

The station's leading tag is information, shared with 14 other entries in Ukraine. It is a well populated tag here without being one of the country's defining ones, which is a common and unremarkable place for a station to sit.

The stream is 128 kbps where Ukraine's median is 192. Below the country's middle, which usually points at an older encoder or a deliberate choice to stay light, and matters far more for music than for talk.

Its audio comes straight from 100.cv.ua:8443, an address unique to this entry in Ukraine's listing. That is the simplest case there is, and it is the one where pressing play tells you the whole truth about whether the station is on air.

Their site is 100fm.cv.ua, a domain registered in Ukraine. Where a station's own address and its listed country agree, the entry is a little more trustworthy than one where they do not.
