KISSTORY: Non-Stop Old Skool & Anthems

KISSTORY: Non-Stop Old Skool & Anthems ranks 8 among 466 stations in the United Kingdom. High enough that the country hub carries it in its own tables, and far enough from the head that the neighbours below are a genuinely different set of stations from the famous ones.

The directory counts 72 opens against this stream. That is well above the United Kingdom's median and it is the reason the station sits where it does on the country list, since the ordering is the count and nothing else.

KISSTORY: Non-Stop Old Skool & Anthems streams at 47 kbps against the United Kingdom's median of 128, which is less than half the local norm. On a dial where 69% of stations reach 128 kbps, a rate this low stands out, and it usually means either a speech station that never needed more or an encoder that has not been touched in years.

The stream is served from live-bauerkiss.sharp-stream.com, an address three other entries in the United Kingdom use as well. A small shared host is usually a group of stations under one owner or one technical provider rather than a platform.

The station's site is at hellorayo.co.uk, which sits under the .uk country domain rather than the United Kingdom's. That mismatch is usually mundane, a host or a parent organisation registered elsewhere, and it is the kind of small inconsistency worth seeing rather than smoothing over.
