LBC London (London stream) MP3

LBC London (London stream) MP3 sits at 120 of 466 in the United Kingdom's listing, in the body of the list rather than at either end. This is where most of a national dial actually lives, and it is the part a country hub's first fifty rows never reach.

Only three entries in the United Kingdom put london first. The tag is self-declared and inconsistent between countries, which is why the rail below is worth more as a way of wandering than as a filter.

At 48 kbps this is one of the lowest rate streams on the United Kingdom's dial, whose median is 128 kbps. It will hold a connection almost anywhere, which is the tradeoff being made.

The stream address on this entry points at media-ssl.musicradio.com, which is where 26 other stations in the United Kingdom are served from as well. Platforms of that size carry the long tail of a country's dial, and they are the reason a listing can look broken when it is one host having a quiet hour.

LBC London (London stream) MP3 publishes at lbc.co.uk. The domain's country code is not the country the directory files the station under, which happens often enough with hosted stations and diaspora broadcasters to be unremarkable, and is still a difference this page will point out rather than hide.
