hr3 Nordhessen

The directory lists three streams in Germany under this name, told apart by a number alone. This page is number three. Nothing here is taken from the other two.

In Germany's ordering this is number 377 of 1,409, which is the middle of the list. The stations either side of it are a better guide to what the country sounds like than the head of the list is, because the head is the same few famous streams in every country.

hr3 Nordhessen leads with pop, a tag 39 other stations in Germany use and one the country hub lists among its headline genres. If the country's sound is what brought you here, this is squarely part of it.

Across every country, hr3 Nordhessen is 83 of the 343 stations leading with pop, by the same open count the country list uses.

The audio comes from dispatcher.rndfnk.com, and 27 other stations in Germany are served from the same address. That is a streaming platform carrying many broadcasters rather than a station running its own server, which is worth knowing for a practical reason: when a platform has a bad night, a whole block of Germany's listing stops answering at once and nothing is wrong with any of the stations in it.
