SWR Aktuell

Out of 1,409 entries in Germany, this one ranks 107. The upper quarter of a national list is an interesting place to be: well known enough to have accumulated opens, not so well known that it is the station everybody already had.

At 21 recorded opens, SWR Aktuell is one of the streams that people actually reach through the public directory rather than through a station's own app. The count is the whole basis of the ranking on this site, and it is worth knowing that it measures directory traffic specifically.

Info is the station's own leading tag and no other entry in Germany uses it that way. Worth reading as self-description: the directory takes tags as broadcasters type them and does not reconcile them.

The audio comes from liveradio.swr.de, and 35 other stations in Germany are served from the same address. That is a streaming platform carrying many broadcasters rather than a station running its own server, which is worth knowing for a practical reason: when a platform has a bad night, a whole block of Germany's listing stops answering at once and nothing is wrong with any of the stations in it.

SWR Aktuell keeps its own site at swr.de. The address sits under Germany's country code, which lines up with where the directory says the station broadcasts from.
