70 80 Hits HQ

Out of 400 entries in Italy, this one ranks 27. The upper quarter of a national list is an interesting place to be: well known enough to have accumulated opens, not so well known that it is the station everybody already had.

At 24 recorded opens, 70 80 Hits HQ is one of the streams that people actually reach through the public directory rather than through a station's own app. The count is the whole basis of the ranking on this site, and it is worth knowing that it measures directory traffic specifically.

Pop music covers 6 of Italy's entries. Tags on this site are always the broadcaster's own first tag and never a second one, because a station tagged five ways would otherwise appear on five shelves and turn each of them into a tag cloud.

On the same tag worldwide it is 2 of 47, which is inside the top quarter of every pop music station the directory carries.

No bitrate is recorded against this stream. It is a common gap: the value is scraped from the stream's headers and plenty of servers do not send them. Press play and your browser will tell you more in two seconds than the field would have.

Its audio comes straight from nr8.newradio.it:19574, an address unique to this entry in Italy's listing. That is the simplest case there is, and it is the one where pressing play tells you the whole truth about whether the station is on air.
