Number One

Number One sits in the tail of Italy's 400 entries. The tail is the part of a directory that goes missing first, and it is the part worth keeping: the head of every country's list is the same handful of national broadcasters, and everything that makes a dial local is behind them.

With one recorded open, Number One sits in the part of the directory where the numbers stop discriminating. The station's position in Italy's list should be read as approximate for exactly that reason.

Italian is the station's language and the country's commonest, one of six Italy's listing records.

Number One streams at 128 kbps, which is exactly where Italy's dial sits: the country's median is 128 kbps. Being unremarkable on this axis is the normal case and it is fine. 70% of the country's stations reach 128 kbps or better.

Number One streams from ice18.fluidstream.net. No other station in Italy is served from that address, and across the whole directory it appears one time in total.

Number One publishes at ice18.fluidstream.net, on a generic domain. Most stations do; it carries no information about location and it is linked here so you can check the source rather than take this page's word for anything.
