Radio Monte Carlo Disco Funk

Radio Monte Carlo Disco Funk sits in the tail of Italy's 400 entries. The tail is the part of a directory that goes missing first, and it is the part worth keeping: the head of every country's list is the same handful of national broadcasters, and everything that makes a dial local is behind them.

The open count against Radio Monte Carlo Disco Funk is one, which is enough to know the stream has been played through the directory and not enough to compare it with anything. Small counts are the normal case out here, and a ranking built from them separates stations by luck as much as by interest.

The station's leading tag is 70's, shared with 3 other entries in Italy. It is a well populated tag here without being one of the country's defining ones, which is a common and unremarkable place for a station to sit.

The audio comes from icy.unitedradio.it, and 32 other stations in Italy are served from the same address. That is a streaming platform carrying many broadcasters rather than a station running its own server, which is worth knowing for a practical reason: when a platform has a bad night, a whole block of Italy's listing stops answering at once and nothing is wrong with any of the stations in it.
