RMC Music Star Franco Battiato

At position 321 of 400, this is one of the stations in Italy that almost nobody arrives at by browsing. That is the case for having a page at all. A station reachable only by knowing its name is a station most directories lose.

One recorded open in the public directory. That is a trace rather than a measurement, and it is the reason this page describes where the station sits rather than how popular it is.

RMC Music Star Franco Battiato is the only station in Italy whose first tag is franco battiato, out of 400 with pages here. Tags come from the broadcasters themselves, so this says the station describes itself in a way no other entry in Italy does, which is a narrower and more honest claim than saying it is the country's only franco battiato station.

The audio comes from icy.unitedradio.it, and 32 other stations in Italy are served from the same address. That is a streaming platform carrying many broadcasters rather than a station running its own server, which is worth knowing for a practical reason: when a platform has a bad night, a whole block of Italy's listing stops answering at once and nothing is wrong with any of the stations in it.
