RTL 102.5 - Groove

RTL 102.5 - Groove is deep in Italy's listing, at 246 of 400. Down here the ordering barely orders anything: the difference between one position and the next is often a single recorded open, so treat the neighbours below as a shelf rather than as a ranking.

The open count against RTL 102.5 - Groove is two, which is enough to know the stream has been played through the directory and not enough to compare it with anything. Small counts are the normal case out here, and a ranking built from them separates stations by luck as much as by interest.

RTL 102.5 - Groove leads with dance, a tag 18 other stations in Italy use and one the country hub lists among its headline genres. If the country's sound is what brought you here, this is squarely part of it.

Twice the local median and then some: 256 kbps where Italy's stations typically manage 128. Whether you can hear the difference depends entirely on what you are listening on, but the headroom is there.

The stream is served from streamingv2.shoutcast.com, an address six other entries in Italy use as well. A small shared host is usually a group of stations under one owner or one technical provider rather than a platform.
