Русские Каверы

At position 382 of 471, this is one of the stations in Russia that almost nobody arrives at by browsing. That is the case for having a page at all. A station reachable only by knowing its name is a station most directories lose.

The open count against Русские Каверы is one, which is enough to know the stream has been played through the directory and not enough to compare it with anything. Small counts are the normal case out here, and a ranking built from them separates stations by luck as much as by interest.

Three stations in Russia lead with the tag каверы, and Русские Каверы is one of them. That is a small enough group to hear end to end, and the tags are the broadcasters' own words rather than a classification imposed here.

The stream is 96 kbps where Russia's median is 128. Below the country's middle, which usually points at an older encoder or a deliberate choice to stay light, and matters far more for music than for talk.

Its audio comes straight from rr-covers.hostingradio.ru, an address unique to this entry in Russia's listing. That is the simplest case there is, and it is the one where pressing play tells you the whole truth about whether the station is on air.
