ALT 104.5

ALT 104.5 is one of two entries in the United States sharing a name and differing by a number, and this one carries one hundred and four point five. That number is the only thing in the name that separates it from the rest of the set.

Rank 1227 of 1,481 in the United States. What that mostly measures is how many people have already found the station through this directory, which is a poor proxy for anything else and an honest one to publish.

The directory records no opens at all for ALT 104.5. That is a fact about the directory rather than about the station: a stream nobody has opened through radio-browser can be perfectly healthy and well listened to on its own site or on a radio. It does mean this page is where the station's directory history starts.

The directory carries no bitrate for ALT 104.5. The field is filled from what the stream's own server reports when it is scanned, so an empty one usually means a server that answers without announcing itself rather than a bad stream. the United States' stations that do report come in at a median of 128 kbps, for whatever that is worth as a guess.

The stream address on this entry points at stream.revma.ihrhls.com, which is where 176 other stations in the United States are served from as well. Platforms of that size carry the long tail of a country's dial, and they are the reason a listing can look broken when it is one host having a quiet hour.
