WMVP 1000 AM - ESPN Chicago, IL

WMVP 1000 AM - ESPN Chicago, IL is at position 131 of the 1,481 stations in the United States with pages here, inside the top quarter of the national listing. That is high enough to be reached by browsing rather than by searching, which is how most of these pages are actually found.

The station's language is English, the commonest of the six the directory records for the United States. Language is one of the two axes this site indexes on, and the English shelf collects these stations across every country that carries them.

Among 1,481 stations in the United States here, this is the only one that puts chicago sports first. The chicago sports rail below therefore leaves the country entirely, which is the more interesting direction to travel from a page like this.

The gap here is large: 64 kbps where the United States' stations typically run 128. Rates at this level were designed for dial-up and for mobile data that was billed by the megabyte, and plenty of stations simply never changed the setting.

22 of the United States' entries are served from live.amperwave.net, this one among them. A shared host means a shared fate. If this stream is silent, the fastest check is not this station's own site but whether its neighbours on the same platform are playing.
