WPTX 1690 AM & 100.7 FM

WPTX 1690 AM & 100.7 FM sits in the tail of the United States' 1,481 entries. The tail is the part of a directory that goes missing first, and it is the part worth keeping: the head of every country's list is the same handful of national broadcasters, and everything that makes a dial local is behind them.

With one recorded open, WPTX 1690 AM & 100.7 FM sits in the part of the directory where the numbers stop discriminating. The station's position in the United States' list should be read as approximate for exactly that reason.

Broadcasting in English, alongside most of the United States' other entries. The country page breaks the remaining five languages out with counts, which is usually a quicker read of who lives somewhere than any summary.

23 stations in the United States lead with adult contemporary and WPTX 1690 AM & 100.7 FM is one of them, though the tag does not make the country's headline list. Across the whole directory 126 stations use it first, so the rail below runs well past United States.

The stream is served from streamvortex.com:8444, which no other entry in the United States uses in this snapshot. Nothing else in the listing shares its fate: if this address stops answering it is this broadcaster's own outage, and if it plays, it plays.
