Lounge Motion FM

Lounge Motion FM sits in the tail of the United States' 1,481 entries. The tail is the part of a directory that goes missing first, and it is the part worth keeping: the head of every country's list is the same handful of national broadcasters, and everything that makes a dial local is behind them.

With one recorded open, Lounge Motion FM sits in the part of the directory where the numbers stop discriminating. The station's position in the United States' list should be read as approximate for exactly that reason.

Lounge Motion FM has no language recorded in the directory. We do not infer one. Guessing from the country would put every station in the United States on the same shelf regardless of what it broadcasts, which is exactly the kind of filled-in blank that makes a directory untrustworthy.

Lounge Motion FM streams at 64 kbps against the United States' median of 128, which is less than half the local norm. On a dial where 49% of stations reach 128 kbps, a rate this low stands out, and it usually means either a speech station that never needed more or an encoder that has not been touched in years.

The stream is served from vm.motionfm.com, an address one other entry in the United States uses as well. A small shared host is usually a group of stations under one owner or one technical provider rather than a platform.
